Trust The Timing Of Your Life – It’s easy to get caught up in all the pressures we put on ourselves and each other. Where we should be at a certain time or age. Like when we graduate from college we should be here. Or college is the only way to be. Or when we are 30 we should think about xyz, or when we reach 40 we should have 2.5 kids and a house and a bright life. Or by 50 we should know who we are.
It’s all made up. And it’s simple and deep is not the way to go. Life is not linear. Learning and becoming do not happen in any predictable order. Some lessons you learned easily at 18, I learn the hard way at 30. And what I’ve learned since I was 7 years old, you might not know until you’re 50 or maybe never.

But when we look around at this silly sign and try to keep it together, we think of that magic. We lose our divine revelation. The unplanned divine that happens in our vision, when we believe in ourselves and our God, when it leaves the station. Believe me, even though it all seems chaotic, it is actually all in order. Needless to say, I was disappointed.
But then, last week, while washing the dishes, my thoughts crossed my mind. I thought about how thankful I am for the yard outside our rental house. The square area is surrounded on three sides by these village structures and on the fourth side there are a few offices and parking lots. It also has a bridge. Love Bug and Sweet Jay drive their cars without being on the road and I can almost always see them from the window, save for a moment or two when they are walking around the office or through the trees.

Children are also happy with other children who live nearby. As we head into our first summer as three kids + mom, I’m grateful for the opportunity to play with the kids here, especially in the many outdoor patios. I’ve actually cooked dinner a few times with just a Pepsi for company! Heaven on earth, I tell you. Besides, we are still far from our best beaches during the year. Good luck, right?
So then I thought, hmm, maybe time isn’t such a bad thing. Of course, it’s not ideal and since I can’t tell the future, maybe I should just trust it. Maybe if I believe it now, I can believe the solution when the time comes.

For the first few days of this month, I had no idea what was in store. As I look back a month later, we had our best month ever with TRIPLE our usual numbers and were booked through the summer. I didn’t see it at the time… but those closed doors were the way of the engine, the universe making room for things to come.
Now that I’ve weathered the storm of the past month, I want to share what worked for change. Some are quick, easy, and free while others are long-term investments, but my hope is that some of these insights can help you too (and I’ll talk about those things later. Let me talk more deeply.
‘More’ means something different to everyone but to me, more = more ideal customers, more revenue and more convenience. What I know now is that limiting beliefs will keep you in a perpetual state of achieving what you are capable of, plain and simple. I want to decide that I want to achieve more (and fully believe) that I will do it first. When I get into the right mindset, achieving more success starts to feel easy and like it’s not a big, big deal – things just flow naturally. And then… they did. There was an ease I had never felt before.

In early 2021, I intend to post more regularly on Instagram as it is our second largest customer after word of mouth. If I took a day off (or more) I didn’t beat myself up but always focus on getting back into things after a break and don’t miss out. After posting regularly in January, our audience growth increased by over 500% in the last month (that’s not a typo!) and has been growing steadily ever since. I believe in intentional preaching and there are days when I don’t feel like it. If you want a day off, take it! It’s always better than calling. When you come back, you will feel inspired, refreshed and ready and that is the best feeling.
It’s a little abstract but knowing who I want to move forward with is what helps me reach my goals more quickly. I visualized my ideal future as a perfect part of the future and the strange thing is that I don’t look, sound or act any different.
Unexpectedly, it was the awakening I really needed – I realized that I was making things up in my mind (it’s funny how our thoughts can lead our lives) and I wasn’t really that far away from that person. I was who I wanted to be… and I needed to start fully being her now. No more excuses.
